Our beloved "Legacy" is for sale $399,000 USD
An amazing opportunity presents itself! This is the only Valiant 50 built with the Pullman berth, and Forepeak storage. You already know that the Valiant is legendary. This is the standard against which blue water boats are measured. More cruising couples and solo sailors have chosen Valiant than any other sailing vessel. The Valiant 50 was designed by Robert Perry in 1997 based on a modernization of his design of the Valiant 47 made famous by several solo circumnavigations and it has proven itself to be a particularly stiff and dry boat.
For 35 years, Valiant Yachts remained in constant production building one of the world’s very best boats. Their semi-custom build philosophy allowed each new owner to tailor to their own needs. As you read all the details in the full specs, we have tried to do justice to this incredible Valiant 50.
Karen’s parents, Roy and Edna Gitter, took delivery of “Kimberlee”, one of the first Valiant 40’s built, in March 1977. They lived aboard and cruised for many years on the east coast, from Connecticut to the Caribbean, logging 65,000 off shore miles. Karen and Louis were very fortunate to be able to draw upon Roy and Edna’s vast experience when laying out the details of their Valiant 50. They took delivery of one of the last hulls produced by Valiant in June 2004. “Legacy”, as she is called, is a very special Valiant! When you see this boat, you will surely know why.
